FAQ - Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Here you will find the answers to the questions we are asked most often about KNES services — boarding, training, behavioural assessments, recommended food and dog insurance. If your question is not here, contact us directly at contact@knes.ro or +40770812277.
A. KNES Hotel
A1. Do you offer dog boarding?
Yes, KNES Hotel is our dog boarding service at the KNES base. Beyond the boarding itself, every dog has a daily observation log and monitoring under the C.L.A.R.® system developed by Petre ROMAN — so your dog does not just stay with us; it is understood while it stays with us.
Availability, rates and booking are right here: knes.ro/hotel.
A2. How much does boarding cost?
The KNES Hotel rate is 125 lei/night, with a daily observation log and monitoring under the C.L.A.R.® system developed by Petre ROMAN. The minimum stay is 2 nights.
Availability and booking are here: knes.ro/hotel.
A3. Do you accept large dogs?
Yes, we accept dogs of all sizes at KNES Hotel — every dog is assessed individually at handover, to make sure it fits in harmoniously with the dogs already staying with us (temperament, compatibility with the group).
Availability and booking here: knes.ro/hotel.
A4. Do you have video cameras so we can see our dog while we are away?
We do not have a live video stream open to owners — instead, you receive photos and videos of your dog every day, along with news about how it is doing. Petre and Dana live in the same yard as KNES Hotel, 10 metres from the boarding area, so direct monitoring is constant, 24/7.
Hotel details: knes.ro/hotel.
A5. From what date can I book?
KNES Hotel opens on 16 October 2026. Bookings are taken for dates from 16 October 2026 onwards.

B. KNES Academy / Training
B1. How much does training at KNES cost?
At KNES Academy, training is built around your dog's needs — we have 3 packages (Start, Reset, Repair), each calibrated to a stage of life and an educational need:
- KNES Start (puppies 6-9 months, 28 days, foundation): knes.ro/event-details/knes-start
- KNES Reset (dogs 9-24 months, 56 days, moderate behaviours): knes.ro/event-details/knes-reset
- KNES Repair (dogs over 2 years or complex cases, 84 days): knes.ro/event-details/knes-repair
Academy overview: knes.ro/academy.
B2. How much does it cost for a 1-year-old dog?
For a 1-year-old dog, the indicative programme is KNES Reset — 56 days at the KNES base, 10,000 lei (approximately 180 lei/day), which includes everything: rehabilitation with Petre, boarding, daily monitoring and the weekly progress report.
Payment is made in instalments — 10% at registration to secure the place, 40% at check-in and 50% at checkout, when you collect your transformed dog.
Reset details: knes.ro/event-details/knes-reset.
B3. When can I bring my dog in for training?
At KNES Academy, dogs are admitted on Saturdays only. The first dogs come in from 17 October 2026.
Details and availability per package: knes.ro/academy.
B4. I am from another city (Cluj, Buzău, Iași etc.) — can I bring my dog for training?
At KNES Academy, the dog comes straight to the KNES base (Toboliu, near Oradea) for the duration of the bootcamp — where you live does not change the process, only the transport logistics for dropping off and collecting your dog.
Details for the 3 packages: knes.ro/academy.
B5. How long does training take?
At KNES Academy we have 3 packages with durations calibrated to the dog's needs:
- KNES Start — 28 days (puppies 6-9 months, foundation)
- KNES Reset — 56 days (dogs 9-24 months, moderate behaviours)
- KNES Repair — 84 days (dogs over 2 years or complex cases)

F. Behavioural problems
F1. My dog barks non-stop whenever the intercom rings. What can I do?
Reactive barking at the intercom and at sounds is something we see often — and it can be addressed, but starting from what specifically triggers it in your dog (routine, predictability, structure), not from a one-off technique.
The first concrete step is OBSERVE: Petre observes the dog, understands what is really going on and creates a personalised working plan for you. We have several options (online, at your home or at the KNES base), each suited to a different context.
All OBSERVE options and rates: knes.ro/observe.
F2. My dog pulls on the lead so hard it wrenches my arms. How do I fix it?
Pulling on the lead is a dynamic we see very often and it can be brought into balance — it has a lot to do with how the relationship and communication on the lead are built, not with a single technique.
The first concrete step is OBSERVE: Petre observes the dog, understands what is really going on and creates a personalised working plan for you. We have options online, at your home or at the KNES base.
All OBSERVE options and rates: knes.ro/observe.
F3. My dog cries / howls when I leave for work. What can I do?
A dog that cries or howls for hours while you are at work is hard, for you and for the dog — it genuinely suffers in your absence. And this too can be brought into balance.
One thing to know: barking and crying at separation rarely go away on their own with age — they usually settle only once we understand what triggers them.
Petre is keen for people to have the free resources first. KNESsence — the 10 fundamental rules of the C.L.A.R.® system, created by him — is here: knes.ro.
For the concrete assessment step, the first one is OBSERVE — options and rates: knes.ro/observe.
F4. My dog bites people / the family / anyone who comes near. Can you help us?
Situations involving severe aggression (repeated bites, attacks on family members, dangerous behaviour) need direct human contact with Petre, not general steps or self-assessment.
Please contact us directly:
- Phone Petre ROMAN: +40770812277
- Email: contact@knes.ro
Until we speak, avoid situations in which someone could be bitten — your safety and your dog's safety matter most right now.
F5. My dog becomes reactive / barks at other dogs on walks. How do I fix it?
Lead reactivity towards other dogs is one of the dynamics we work with most often — it comes down to how your dog reads its environment and what seems unpredictable or hard to „decode" at a given moment.
The first concrete step is OBSERVE: Petre observes the dog in its real context, understands what is really going on and creates a personalised working plan for you. We have options online, at your home or at the KNES base.
All OBSERVE options and rates: knes.ro/observe.
F6. My dog is very fearful / anxious. How can I help?
A fearful dog, or one that reacts with fear in certain contexts, needs time, predictability and a relationship built with gentleness — not a one-off technique.
The first concrete step is OBSERVE: Petre observes the dog in its real context, understands exactly what triggers it and creates a personalised working plan for you. We have options online, at your home or at the KNES base.
All OBSERVE options and rates: knes.ro/observe.
